We create analytical solutions for our end users. These can be scientifically based engineering jobs, lab automation, software drivers and other solutions or simply providing the right customer support in the day-to-day analytical field.

We are growing and for that reason looking for a Technical Sales Engineer in the UK.

JSB UK & Ireland is looking for a Sales Engineer with a high level of responsibility and self-motivation reporting to the Manager UK.

As a Sales Engineer he or she will be responsible for managing all technical and customer/sales within the Southern Region of The United Kingdom.

The successful candidate must possess sales skills by proving project guidance and technical backup as necessary. Candidate must have the ability to accurately forecast revenue for the territory. Proven track record in developing customer relationships and building an opportunity pipeline are key for this position. Perform training activities and assist with post-installation checkouts and technical support to support End Users.

Knowledge of the analytical instruments market, analytical chemical background, customer service and technical skills are essential. Ability to work and excel in a team environment is necessary to be successful. Knowledge of GC, HPLC and Mass- spectrometry instruments and configurations.

Manage sales processes in assigned geography in accordance with approved sales and marketing plans. Understand and use product features, benefits and applications along with selling and business-building skills to successfully promote and consummate the sale of products and services to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan. Serve as a driver of business development at assigned major customer call point to penetrate and grow current and new business. Become recognized as a technical driven Sales Engineer within the sales force.

Skills

• Analytical Chemical background, Higher Education, University degree preferable with practical experience in an analytical environment, lab experience preferred
• A unique blend of skills, both technical and customer/sales-oriented
• Strong work ethic, efficiency and attention to detail are imperative
• Able to create technical proposals
• Able to produce business performance reports on a monthly basis.
• Excellent networking skills
• Commercial driven, Sales experience in the analytical instruments market
• Experience with GC, HPLC and mass-spectrometric instruments and configurations
• Able to deliver the highest standards of customer service
• Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels
• Team player
• Result driven
• Not afraid for a technical challenge act as a consultant for our clients
• Willing to travel
• Attend trade fairs at home and abroad
